Attempt Made to Wreck T. H. L&E Interurban Car
Indianapolis June 14 An apparent effort to wreck a T. H. L&E interurban car occurred near Thirty sixth Street and Northwestern Avenue as attackers placed ties across the rails at a hill crest. The inbound, heavily loaded car slowed and stopped safely after the motorman applied brakes. Detectives began an investigation as crew and patrolman James O Connor reported suspicious activity near the right of way. Police removed the damaged track and search for the intruders continues near Woodstock Country Club.

Four Killed in Crossing Crash in St Louis
St Louis June 14 four persons died and a fifth was injured when a Missouri Pacific train struck a touring car with five persons at a crossing. The dead include Mrs Josephine Hamble 85 her daughter C Margaret Mary Hamble 9 and Mrs Margaret Burke 55 along with Clem D Horn. The injured is Mrs Ella Horn all residents of St Louis.

Greek brigands attack bank car on Preveza road
On June 14 near Preveza Greece brigands attacked a bank loan shipment of 15 million drachma totaling about 1.5 million dollars. Seven crew members of the escort and one bank guard were killed as the raiders escaped with the money. The National Bank of Greece was transporting the funds along the road when the ambush occurred.
