Miller bedridden. Gardner White ill. John Copenhagen and Ruth Peoffit ill with sore throat. Cora improving but small. Entertainment next Friday night by Ladies Aid at the church. Rev Kibby’s appointment next Sunday. Children’s Day planned at night. J. Miller hauled hogs for Thomas Bohannon Thursday. Paul Miller and wife dined with Theresa Yates and daughters Abbie. J. R. Miller and family and Ruby and Winora Jean visited in the evening. Clive Etchison and wife visited relatives here Saturday.
Rev. W W Roberts filled his regular appointment at Rosston Sunday morning and evening. Residents and families including Jess Nersey Iva Sutphin and others visited and hosted relatives throughout the region. George Jarimere passed away at his Northfield home Monday. Gene and Vern Davis hosted guests from Indianapolis over the weekend.
Kenith Werpick of Indianapolis spent the weekend with his parents Mr and Mrs Petty Hedrick. Mr and Mrs Ron Bours and family visited Mrs Walter Beers and Mr and Mrs Wm Mudies. The Thrive and Ryans families hosted guests Sunday evening and other neighbors made calls during the weekend.
Mire Alpheus Crane and Sundus Ai share a Saturday visit by family. Miss Georgie Carothers and Noble Wethers visit Dunbar Park. Lana Ball visits her aunt in Vic. Walter Ivar and Myoard Street locals noted. Funeral attendance marked Ora Kennedadd. church activities and a Beech Grove community service were referenced. several residents mentioned by name attend events and gatherings.
Sunday morning and with Rev. Davis were entertained at dinner at the home of Alfred Parpett. Misses Vara Owens and Fawn Vir tue spent Sunday evening with Miss Mary Newman. The Ladies Aid Society held an all day meeting last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Jennie Hale. At noon a bountiful pitch-in dinner was serv ed. The Missionary Society will meet Thursday afternoon with Miss Della Newman. Paul Douglas and family of Frank fort and Ed Ramsey and family of Sedwick''s Chapel were the guests of Mrs. Sarah Padgett Sunday. Berl Dean Silver has gone to visit his grandmother, Mrs. Eva Silver of near Whitestown.
The Men’s Brotherhood of the Methodist Church, meeting north of Thorntown with WU Boyd, heard an excellent program led by Rev. Floyd McMurry. A social hour followed and refreshments were served. The gathering was well attended. The Princess Theatre announces Thursday’s program featuring the Goldwyn film Golden Dreams with Claire Adams and Carl Gantyout, from a Kenji Hampton production based on a book.
The Westminster Guild of the Presbyterian Church held a Tuesday picnic at the home of Mr and Mrs Maurice Neptune east of Thorntown. A pitch in supper was served at 6 pm and the evening was social with about 100 members and guests attending.
Miss Myrtle Roark left for Mrs Blaker's School in Indianapolis this summer. She will spend July 4 with Dr and Mrs W W Myers in Louisville Kentucky. Mrs Kathleen Cones of Indianapolis is visiting the Misses Procter.
Mr. I V Custer of Dayton Ohio will be in this town for 10 days to rebuild steel ranges for any price. Leave orders with R F E Bennett at 1110 S Lebanon Street or phone 115.
