Calumet Area Faces Night of Deadly Crashes

A string of fatal and serious traffic crashes across Indiana left five people dead and many injured. In Linton Greene County a teen died from a collision on Linton street. her husband Elmer 37 was seriously hurt and Wayne Arney 26 critically hurt. In Lake County two brothers Kenan Miranda and Manny Griffin were killed in a one train collision while riding to a rail crossing. A fifth death occurred in Marion County. John son 5 Hammond disappeared Sunday and was found dead in a car submerged in a swampy area Monday morning. In Gary Aloysious Kolotziej 48 and his mother Frances Magiera 85 died when their car hit a guard rail and abutment on the TriState Expressway. Charles Church 12 died after a go cart rolled onto Indiana 49 from his driveway.
