Brandt Survives Helicopter Plunge During Israeli Visit
In MASSADA Israel a Sikorsky helicopter carrying Chancellor Willy Brandt and 29 others swerved in strong winds and came within 100 feet of a 1200 foot drop. Brandt remained unharmed, walking away after the scare as other officials sustained minor injuries. The incident happened on the final day of Brandt's five day visit.

Paul Ingram, 22, a 1973 Butler University graduate from Worthington Indiana, becomes reporter photographer for the Lebanon Reporter. He earned a journalism degree with Eugene Pulliam Scholarships and served as editor at Butler Collegian and Vincennes University Trailblazer. Ingram will cover Boone County Courthouse and city police, living at 410 East Fordice Street and engaged to Sheila Armes of Vincennes with a planned Aug. 25 wedding.
