Derailment Claims 11th Victim in City of New Orleans Crash
An 11th person died today from injuries after the City of New Orleans passenger train derailed near here at 90 mph Thursday. Clara McKinney, 38, died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Nearly 100 were injured as seven cars and 206 passengers spilled along the right of way. Illinois Central traced the derailment to a locked wheel on the lead diesel. Authorities called it a national tragedy.

In Mexico City police clashed with about 20 000 university students during a protest over labor and university reforms. Two Miners Killed Today in West Virginia Mine Collapse

West German Leader Sees Berlin Wall Access Deal

Papal decree eases Catholic marriage annulments
