Clarence Boyd Drowns in White River Near 38th Street Bridge
Clarence Boyd a 58 year old Boone County native and Indianapolis resident was found dead in the White River near the 38th Street Bridge after being reported missing by his wife Edith. An autopsy was planned but no violence was observed. He attended Perry Central School, IU and IU Law, worked as credit manager at Jones Laughlin Steel, was in the Indiana Credit Association and a WWII veteran. He leaves a widow a son a brother and four sisters with rites planned at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and entombment at Washington Park Mausoleum.

Two Frankfort Youths Hurt In Boone Crash
Two Clinton County boys from Frankfort were passengers in a southbound Plymouth sedan driven by a relative when a westbound Chevrolet station wagon collided at the SR 37 and US 52 intersection in Boone County. Greg Conley aged 14 and Mike Sandifar 3 suffered facial and head injuries and were hospitalized. Mrs Helen Byrd 41 was cited for failing to yield.

Rules Case Has Evidence For Trial
INDIANAPOLIS UPI A dispute over architectural fees for work on the Thorntown school from 1962-65 prompted an Indiana appellate order sending parts of the case back to Hamilton Superior Court. Albert Heeter claimed promised payment without a written contract while three Boone County school entities existed. The appellate court upheld a summary judgment for Sugar Creek Township regarding one portion but remanded against the metropolitan and community schools for merits. Heeter prepared high school plans not used after board controversy over expansion versus a new building. the board contends plans were created without authorization from Superintendent Robert Gibbs.

The Riverview Hospital in Noblesville raised its room rates by 2 to 3 dollars effective June 14, joining a regional trend as Witham Hospital in Lebanon also nudged prices.
