Wednesday afternoon at Advance a mare owned by J. M. Sandy fell into a well after stepping through the top while reaching powders behind the shed. The mare struggled until men from Stansell's stable arrived with ropes and rescued her after several minutes. She sustained scratches and bruises but no serious injuries.
