Killed by burglars in Idaho man shot dead at store
A Blackfoot Idaho report states Karl Stevenson 24 a furniture store watchman was killed when burglars entered the shop. He woke and tried to catch them as shots rang out, two hitting him. The murderers escaped. Stevenson lived in the area all his life and had been west less than six months. Burial plans follow.

Disturbance arrest at Washington township commencement
Clinton Brandon of Mechanicsburg was arrested for disturbing a public meeting and assault and battery after an incident at Washington township commencement exercises last Wednesday evening. County Superintendent Gullion filed the disturbance charge, and Earl Shirley filed the assault and battery count after Brandon allegedly directed improper remarks at two young ladies. Shirley reportedly struck Brandon with a violin case, causing a gash. Brandon was brought to town in handcuffs and posted bond for Squire Trowbridge's court on Thursday.
