Charles McCoy died of tuberculosis today at his home three miles northwest of town. He was twenty five years, eleven months and twenty four days old, born in Clinton county. He leaves parents Mr. and Mrs. Bennett McCoy and sisters Mrs. Martha A Stafford and Jennie O Lowly of Chicago. Funeral at 3 p.m. Tuesday at home with Rev. Li B Bailey officiating. Interment at Beck cemetery.

Warsaw reports continued terrorist activity with high officials targeted nightly. The mayor of Siedlee, the chief of the governor's office and the police board secretary were mortally wounded, illustrating the ongoing campaign against state and municipal authorities.

Mrs Martha A Thompson wife of John R Thompson died at her home in Advance Sunday from a tumor. Aged fifty years three months and three days she leaves five sisters including Parmelia Carpenter of North Jameson street. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a m at the residence, conducted by Rev CA Brown and Rev A L Carney, with burial at Janestown.
In Ceawrornsville Ind on June 9 a Republican meeting at the Court House discussed a Democratic plea for an anti corruption agreement for the next fall election. All present supported the proposal and a committee will be appointed to pursue it.

In Danville Indiana on June 11 the jury found Rev Edwin M Freeman not guilty of burning Montgomery MO EB Chapel near Litton. The minister and his wife received cheers from supporters as he left the courtroom noting a vindication of his character. Jurors discussed ballots showing eight to four for acquittal on multiple rounds and four holdouts wanted conviction as an accomplice. Many expect possible new indictments but some urge ending the case. Freeman’s family left for Terre Haute after hundreds of well wishers greeted them at the train. The Danville M E pastor said the verdict vindicated Freeman and denied any crime occurred at Lixton church years ago.
Ruth Rebekah Lodge hosted about 100 visitors from Martha Washington Crawfordsville Diana Whitestown and Bee Hive Zionsville at the 1 O F lodge Friday night. The Martha Washington degree staff conferred the degrees on one candidate Miss Effie Martin amid high praise and a social hour with refreshments.
Three men, all from Brooklyn, were drowned when the yacht Lottie with a fishing party aboard capsized during a sudden storm in New York Bay on Sunday. Victims named are William Mormon Paul Smith and George Gise.
