The Zonta Club of Lebanon and Jaycees back a weekend Cancer Telethon from 9 p.m. Saturday to 3 p.m. Sunday. Volunteers man telephones at the Lebanon Reporter office, pledges accepted 24 hours, with a color Channel 4 telecast featuring performers from Boone County and statewide acts. Funds go to cancer research, with deposits at Boone County State Bank.

City Court Fines Set Amid 29 Cases Handled
City Court processed twenty nine charges against twenty five individuals in one courthouse session before Judge G Kent Frandsen. Fourteen fines were imposed while one case was dismissed and several others set for trial or judgment withheld. July 4th Meet Set Tonight
The July 4th Committee will meet at 8 o'clock in the Chamber of Commerce room of the Municipal Building to finalize plans for Lebanon's week-long Fourth of July Festival Let Freedom Sing. The festival launches June 26 with the queen selection from 13 contestants and includes a tennis tournament ice cream social bike race bazaar and a two hour parade and fireworks on July 4th.

Cabinetmaker Seeks Million For Burns In Boone Case
A million dollar damage suit, expected to last up to three weeks, opens in Boone Circuit Court before Judge Charles F. Thompson. William G. Hoffman, former cabinet maker for Imperial Equipment Co, claims permanent injuries from an LP gas blast August 23, 1967 at the Decatur Community School in Marion County. The suit contends negligence allowed gas use during construction. Hoffman alleges burns to neck, face, back, hands, wrists and inhalation injuries. Eagle-Union names Gossman new superintendent
