Nora Ellen Chambers aged 90 died at her Beebe County home after a long illness. Born February 1968 in Franklin Indiana to Lucias Gates, she married John W. Chambers in 18 in Boone County. Survivors include sons Russell and Ernest Chambers, William D. Chambers of Alexandria, daughter Cora N. Clegg, son Iran Chambers, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, plus sisters and brothers. She was a Presbyterian. Continued on page 4.

Accused Bank Robber Shoots Way Out of Jail
An accused bank robber from Canton Ohio shot his way out of Allen County jail in Fort Wayne after trading clothes with a deputy sheriff.
