Washington June 6 Secretary of Labor Lewis Schwellenbach died at Walter Reed Army Hospital at age 53. Official cause heart failure, though associates suspected overwork. Former judge from Superior, Wis born Sept 20 1894, he became labor head July 1 1945 amid postwar labor tensions. He announced no funeral plans as President Truman inquired before news of his death.
