Mob Overpowers Sheriff and Hangs Murder Defendant

William Andrews, a 20 year old accused of felonious assault on Mrs. Benjamin T. Kelley, is taken from jail after pleading guilty and is lynched by a frenzied mob outside the courthouse. Miner killed in blast at Short's coal mine near Stonr

Eilis Onno, a miner, died instantly in an explosion at Short's coal mine a mile from the mine mouth. Companion William Peiper was seriously injured as a blast collapsed a large pile of stone and coal. Peiper crawled a mile to warn others. Onno left a widow and six children.

Golgon's Murder Case Filed In Pineville Trial

In Kentucky June 10 At the examining trial of John Dugan for the murder of John Colson at Pineville Justice Berh Faston heard Dugan seek removal of the bench. When denied his petition Dugan and his attorney objected, and the matter proceeded with bonds set and the grand jury action bound over. Nearby court notes list Rigaiay and Gemoetown with due dates.
