CHICAGO A quick trigger gunman described as an ex con bent on revenge burst into a North Side saloon and killed three. Detectives identified the gunman as Lawrence R Larry Neumann 28. He was said to be settling a grudge from a May 9 arrest for disturbance. Victims: Max Epstein 45 part owner of Mickey and Maxies Mircale Cabaret Mrs Lois M Gates 27 a dice girl and John Keller 48 a news vendor who crossed the gunman. A widespread manhunt was under way.

Marvin B D McLaughlin son of Mr and Mrs Claudio McLaughlin near Dover was admitted to the Indiana bar at the State House in Indianapolis at 310 p m.
