Archie Gilmore Dies In Oregon Funeral planned in Lebanon
Archie Owen Gilmore a World War I veteran and Lebanon mail carrier died Monday in Goodam hospital Port ai Oregon. He planned to return to Lebanon this week to visit relatives when struck down. His body will be flown to Lebanon for services at Russell and Hitch funeral home Thursday at 10 am with Rev Arthur Korteling officiating. Burial will be in Sheldon. Friends may call after 8 pm at the mortuary Wednesday. Gilmore born January 17 1892 in Sheldon was the son of Patrick Albert and Nancy Clarke Gilmore and spent nearly 30 years in military service from Cadet Military Academy to Mexican Border Guard to World War I and Indiana National Guard.
