New State Highway Maps Distributed in Indiana
Indianapolis June 8 The state highway commission distributed the May 1 issue maps. The new road map adds 1000 miles and includes county roads absorbed by May 1. Twenty three city route maps show state roads through cities with street names. Compiled under chief engineer William J. Titus. Public library to be closed Thursday for corridor cleaning

Chicken thieves routed with gun at Adams farm
Early today three men attempted a henhouse raid at the Robert Adams farm on Michigan road near Strawtown road. Adams fired, two hens fled on foot, scents led sheriff to a ditch and a Ford coupe left behind. sixteen sacks discarded in the henhouse, no chickens taken.
