Audie Murphy America's most decorated World War II hero was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He received full military honors including a 21 gun salute. his widow Mrs Pamela Murphy of North Hollywood accepted the folded flag. Murphy, 46, earned the Medal of Honor and many decorations for bravery against Germans and later became a film actor.
