Indianapolis June 7 Delegates to the Democratic state convention nominated Frank C. Dailey for governor on the first ballot with 878 votes and moved to a unanimous endorsement. Addison Drake won the lieutenant governor post on the third ballot with 661 votes while Arthur J. Hamrick secured secretary of state on one ballot. The convention emphasized harmony to beat the Republicans and adopted an "honest in government" platform.

Woman Slightly Hurt In Automobile Crash
A woman, Alma Comstock of Dayton Ohio, received bruises and scratches when two cars collided at the end of Lebanon Street yesterday afternoon. Harley C Weaver of Advance and G H Burtner of 1838 South Lebanon Street were involved as Burtner turned toward his garage. Comstock continued her trip to Dayton after the incident.
Two Aviators Die in Monoplane Crash Over Arlington
Washington June 17 Keith Keeling 30 pilot and Clay Good rich 28 aviation mechanic and student pilot were burned to death last night when their monoplane fell 800 feet in a tailspin over Arlington Virginia and burst into flames. The men had taken off from Potomac flying field to test the plane recently from a factory at Alexandria Virginia Keeling whose home was Kansas City had been a licensed pilot ten years.

Park playground to begin supervised play for all ages
Memorial Park will host a supervised recreational program for children this summer with plans for adult participation weather permitting. Lebanon high school athletic director Jack Heifner, hired by the city council, will supervise park activities. Tennis courts are being repaired with new nets, and courts will remain usable through summer under public cooperation. Court use should avoid wet conditions and rubber footwear to prevent damage. Monopolizing court time will not be allowed as the courts are open to many players. Announcements of tournaments will follow. Horseshoe facilities are being prepared though shoe availability is restricted.

Kansas City June 7 Supporters of Frank Lowden and James E Watson conferred to plan moves to regain delegate seats lost to Herbert Hoover in hearings before the Republican National Committee. Father of seven has suspended sentence in Lebanon court
Pawnee Nance of Whitestown received six months at the penal farm after pleading guilty to public intoxication. Nine men found guilty of Mrs Downing murder in Kentucky cabin fire
In Shepherdsville on June 7 nine men were convicted of first degree murder in the May 4 killing of Mrs Kate Downing during a cabin fire near here. Sentences of life imprisonment were handed down by Judge Basil Richardson of Glasgow after a two day jury deadlock. Though ill for some time he had recently improved and cerebral hemorrhage proved fatal. Born here 68 years ago he was regarded as a leading Middle West eye specialist.
