Lafayette Man Recovers From Serious Injuries
Thomas H. Carr district salesman for Tional Oil returned to work after five weeks sidelined by a south Lebanon crash on April 29. He was in a Ford roadster en route to Indianapolis when a Cole touring car struck him, breaking both arms and injuring back neck and knees. He was delirious briefly from neck displacement and treated four weeks in Indianapolis before resuming duties. He resides at the St Nicholas Hotel and is well known across north central Indiana.

Mayor Jewett of Indianapolis receives invitation from Chicago Mayor William Hale Thompson to attend the National Gymnastic and Athletic Tournament in Chicago from June 28 to July 4. A relay of 50 runners from the Athenaeum and South Side Turners will convey the reply starting Friday at 6 AM from Monument Place, with relief runners stationed along a two mile cadence route to Walcott, then to Grant Park for the event. A film crew will document the start finish and route.

Twelve year old boy dies after horse kick
Kota Mason twelve year old son of Mr and Mrs Frank Mason died at home at 9 30 this morning. A horse kicked him Saturday as he mowed a team through. He never regained consciousness after hospital calls. Official report notes the fatal kick struck his lead. The boy had sent for a team when the accident occurred.
