Legion Poppy Sale Raised Funds for Veterans Families

The American Legion Auxillary poppy committee, led by A. Wilhoite, organized a sale that produced about 2000 poppies. Poppies sold for about 30 dollars per 4000 and funds support welfare work for families of deceased and disabled veterans, with proceeds kept in Boone County and sent to National Headquarters.
