Rites Monday for Mrs Campbell in Lebanon
Funeral services for Mrs Nan nie M Campbell will be held Monday at three o clock at the family home with Rev James D Martin presiding. Burial is in Oak Hill cemetery. A Lebanon philanthropist, she aided orphans and the needy, and the Campbells sponsor a cash award for a top high school sophomore in memory of their late daughter Lola Mary. Mrs Campbell was born in Lebanon and lived there all her life. Her mother Emma Goodwin Cali s survives. (Continued on Page Three)

John Orville Everett, 20, held in Boone county jail after confessing to a robbery at the John Chambers filling station on U S Road 52 near Lebanon last February. He was captured by Dayton authorities and returned to Boone county, with sheriff Mike Small coordinating the case. Woman dies from gas poisoning at Mechanicsburg home
Mrs Amanda Bennett aged 77 died at Witham hospital from carbon monoxide poisoning after a neighbor found her unconscious in a Mechanicsburg residence with a stove burner partly opened. Born in Clinton county Indiana she was married to I E Bennett who died in 1918 and is survived by her daughter Mrs Scuyler C Lawrence of Indianaplis.

Citizenship Talk by John L. Downing at Lebanon Rotary
Frankfort attorney John L. Downing spoke at the Lebanon Rotary Club luncheon at Alen Country Club on Friday. His address titled Sovereign Citizenship argued that natural rights come with social duties and that government grants privileges as part of the community, not to individuals. He warned against speakers who claim law enforcement intrudes on liberties and contrasted liberty with responsibility while citing Patrick Henry’s call for liberty or death.

Local business leader Grover Shelby found dead in Lebanon store car
The body of Grover C. Shelby, a longtime local business figure, was found by his wife in a touring car on the third floor of the Lebanon Hardware Store. He appears to have shot himself last night, leaving a note about an Elk funeral and pallbearers. Andrew Earhart Dies at 88 After Civil War Service
Andrew Earhart aged 88, Civil War veteran of the 150th Ohio Regiment, died after weeks of illness at the Soldiers Home near Lafayette. He lived previously at 311 Meridian Street Lebanon and was survived by his wife who died two years ago and two grandchildren. Funeral services are planned at his residence and later at the Soldiers Home.
