A lunch at the First Presbyterian basement preceded a pep meeting led by Briant Edwards with Lowell Wilson of Indiana Condensed Milk Co. urging cooperation and local industry development in Boone county.

Harry Voorhis, who deserted his wife and newborn two months ago, appeared with the baby in court and pleaded guilty to illegal possession of liquor. Judge Hornaday fined him 100 dollars plus costs and imposed a five months' sentence at the state penal farm. Sheriff Sandlin will transport him to Putnamville shortly after a raid found a gallon of alcohol.

Governors Oil Conference Set in Colorado Springs Start June 10
