Mrs Emma Halffman wife of William Halffman formerly of Lebanon and now Indianapolis resident committed suicide this morning by hanging in a barn on her mother's West Main street property. Depression from ill health and prior self harm plans are noted. She was about 48, survived by husband Nora daughter and several siblings and relatives. Funeral arrangements pending after body is removed to sister Mrs Henry Adam's home.
