Six Lawrenceburg High School juniors Mike Bol Perry Hammock Tom Hardy Kirk Parr John Richman and Bob Rose were selected as delegates for Indiana State University Hoosier Boys State to be held June 6 13 The three alternates are Mike Bol Kirk Parr and Bob Rose Sponsors include local families and school groups Hammock Hardy and Richman will serve as council delegates with Hammock active in Junior Historical Society Science Club and Spanish Club Hardy in Band Latin Club cross country and track Richman on Pennant Staff Student Council and the track team Rose active in Concert Choir Drama Club and Junior Historical Society Freshman and Sophomores join a mythic government program to learn leadership and government functions.

Lebanon Kiwanians elected four officers at their luncheon meeting with James Pauley as president Ken Rockstroh first vice president John Holloman second vice president and Robert Duff treasurer. They will take office Oct. 1 Two directors will be elected next week. William Briggs Indianapolis attorney and Labor Relations specialist urged amending the National Labor Relations Act to aid both employers and unions. Briggs was introduced by Gary Loveless Lebanon Chamber official.

Agreement Near On Contracts For City Teachers
The Lebanon Community School Board and the Class room Teachers Association moved a step closer to a 1970 71 salary contract agreement. About 80 district instructors rejected a 6950 starting salary yet proposed a 6950 start with added years and credits or 7000 with no change in increments. The board and teachers weigh a roughly 136000 cost and a tax rise of 40 cents, while discussions include extending the teaching day and insurer coverage for dependents.

Logansport A&P fall nets $9958 in damages
A jury awarded Mary Jean Tarelli of Logansport 9958.33 in damages for a July 7 1964 fall at an A and P Grocery Store. She claimed the ramp was too steep and lacked mats, causing a slippery asphalt surface after rain. the defense argued proper ramp grade and precaution. Judge Charles F. Thompson presided as jurors listed.

Pilots To Compete Sunday At Terry Airport In Boone County
Terry Airport in eastern Boone County near SR 32 hosts a two day open house with an FAA safety program and a pilot spot landing contest. Arizona man Ruther Barkley hijacked a Phoenix to Washington jet with a .22 pistol and razor forcing a direct to Washington ransom pickup. After eight hours and a cockpit shootout, all 58 aboard escaped unharmed. Barkley jailed without bond and Pilot Capt. Dale C. Hope wounded.
