Carter Walton, 74, of 809 South Meridian Street, died at Witham Hospital at 8 am today after a weeklong illness. A native of Boone County, he was born March 22, 1884, son of Taylor Walton and Margaret Carter, and lived in Boone County most of his life. Surviving are three sisters Minnie Wines, Cora Cox, and Estelia Walton. a deceased Hattie McStee. a niece Luveda Davies of Lehanne Fanerst. Funeral at Myers Matray on Monday at 2 pm with Rev Wilbur B. Sharp. burial in Brown's Wonder cemetery. Friends may call after 7 pm today.
