Motorcyclist Dies In Road Accident Near Danville
A 17 year old Danville rider, James Leroy Brown, was killed when his motorcycle was swept off the road by a car traveling in the same direction ten miles east of Danville. The driver, William J. Wagner of Crawfordsville, Ind., was unhurt. Investigating trooper James Frazier blamed Brown’s motorcycle with no taillight and weak headlights for the crash.

He resided with his daughter the past 19 months and formerly lived at 600 South Hamilton Street. Born December 9, 1873 near Mechanicsburg to A G and Mary Ann Ward Mendenhall, he married Bertha Hubbard in 1896. Surviving are his widow Mrs Bertha Mendenhall, a brother A D Mendenhall of Whitestown, two sisters Mrs Harry Beaman of Noblesville and Mrs Emima Mayfield of Lebanon. Burial in Crown View Cemetery Sheridan will follow services at 2 pm Wednesday at the Show Funeral Home. Fri may call at the funeral home.
