Rome June 5 A truce in the Vatican Mussolini dispute held today as Pope Pius XI pressed for formal deprecation of anti church incidents. The Holy See awaited replies to notes asking why demonstrations in Rome and elsewhere were not suppressed. Diplomatic talks continued to avert renewed violence while an attack by Fascist youths near Vatican City angered the Pope who vowed to pray in churches or catacombs if pressed from his home.

Man falls from tree holding bee swarm in Indiana town
While trying to hire a swarm of bees Tuesday, Harry Daughert fell twenty feet from a tree and was knocked unconscious. He broke several ribs, and bees settled on his head, delaying access for relatives for about a half hour. The net over his head was bleeding but he was not stung. The Zionsville Times reports the incident.

Mrs Earl Campbell a Lebanon resident for life died today at noon at her North Meridian street home after a three month illness. Death was due to a complication of diseases.
