The Interstate Public Service Company of Indianapolis asks the Indiana Public Service Commission to raise Lebanon heating rates from 17 to 30 cents per square foot of radiation for the 1918-19 season, with a 5 cent temporary surcharge previously authorized in 1917-18. The petition cites high coal costs and other rising expenses, says operations cannot profit at current plus surcharge, and requests approval to maintain service and fund necessary plant repairs. A hearing date is not yet set, but likely near month end.
