Lynching in Greenville as mob hangs suspect after assault claim

In Greenville Mississippi yesterday a mob of about 200 men forced entry to the jail and hanged John Dennis a Black man accused of a Tuesday night assault on a young woman. Eyewitnesses include women shoppers and a phone pole execution followed prayer. The event occurred after the public mob demanded admittance and the jail door was battered down.
