Five Hurt In Car Truck Crash Near Lebanon
Five persons were injured in a Tuesday crash near the Country Kitchen on US 52 north of Lebanon when a car and a truck collided. Victor Hein 19 of Remington led the car into the truck after skidding 270 feet, heading to Witham Memorial Hospital with head lacerations, facial injuries, and leg abrasions. Killer Road 41 Toll Rises With New Fatality
Betty A. Bissot, 24, of Vincennes, was killed when a car sideswiped a bridge and overturned north of Vincennes in Knox County. Passenger Terry Miles, 19, of Lawrenceville, Ill., was thrown out and crushed beneath the vehicle. Since Jan 1 there have been 19 U S 41 fatalities, with seven multi death crashes and 18 of 31 deaths from truck collisions. The toll spread across January to June shows six in January, two in February, six in March, seven in April, eight in May, and two so far in June. Benton leads the nine counties.
