Chicago report states federal grand jury indicted Teamsters Union President James R Hoffa and six others for fraudulently obtaining 20 million dollars in loans from the Central States Teamsters pension fund and diverting more than 1 million for personal use. Two Men Face Criminal Count In Boone Circuit Court
Criminal charges of sodomy filed in Boone Circuit Court against Herbert Bowen, 36, of New Albany and Jane J Baker, 2, near Greenwood. They were picked up Sunday night at Thorntown Rest Park by State Trooper Meredith Hughes. Baker has pleaded guilty and is in Boone County Jail awaiting pre sentence investigation. Parents, teen injured in head on collision near Lebanon
Deborah Cragan and her mother Mrs Floyd Cragan suffered severe head and limb injuries in a head on crash on State Road 38 four miles north of Lebanon. Deborah remained unconscious hours after the 7 10 PM collision. The 24 year old truck driver Lewis Thomas Mabbitt was treated in good condition. Charges will be filed against Mabbitt.
