The Boone county Board of Review began its annual thirty day session in the auditor's office at the courthouse. New members John F. Richardson and James Chester Darnall are joined by veterans Peter F. Wilson and Merle Harvey. Judge John W. Hornalar will preside. Julius W. Pinnell Undergoes Facial Nerve Operation
Julius W. Pinnell underwent a delicate skull incision procedure at University Hospital in Philadelphia to sever the fifth nerve for facial paralysis. He had been treated in a sanatorium at Martinsville and recently traveled from Indianapolis with his son Ormal Pinnell and daughter Mrs Nathan Graham arriving from Europe to be present.

An affidavit charging Herbert Shockley with assault and battery on William H. Cox was filed in Squire Edmund Connor's Court today by Prosecuting Attorney John A. Sunderland. Shockley lives on Lebanon Route 13 and Cox on a Jamestown rural route. No hearing date was set.

Timely discovery of blaze saves First Rural Loan Office
A small fire near the First Rural Loan office on the west side of the square was spotted by two youths who reported it to Patrolman Gant. The blaze, caused by spontaneous combustion from dusty rags, filled the basement area with smoke and broke a front door glass. Firemen entered and limited damage to the building.

Thieves Steal Car and Loot Farm Homes Near Lebanon
Thieves familiar with the area struck three farm homes southeast of Lebanon during the night. A 1928 Chevrolet sedan was stolen from a garage at one property, with a tire and rim removed from another. They also removed meat, eggs, lard, and jars of fruit from the Beck home and took motor oil and kerosene from Groover properties. Sheriff L M Sandlin and Lieut Frank McCormick were notified.

Mary Lou Cunningham Injured in Automobile Accident
Miss Mary Lou Cunningham suffered a broken collar bone and a leg cut when the car she rode in went into a side ditch near the Frank Adney farm northeast of town. She was taken to Witham Hospital for treatment before being returned to the Ralph home on Main Street.

Lebanon teen wins Wabash four year scholarship
William Spray, Lebanon high school graduate, topped a field of entrants from Crawfordsville in the Wabash College scholarship contest. His average was highest and he earned a four year scholarship valued at 680 dollars. Spray led Lebanon debate teams to state titles and was named captain of the all state mythical debate team. He has not yet decided whether to enroll at Wabash next fall.

Sinclair Faces New Jail Term in Shadowing Jurors
Washington June 3 Harry F Sinclair oil magnate now serving eight months for contempt of the Senate lost another round with the law today and faces six more months for having operatives shadow the jurors in the Fall Sinclair conspiracy trial. The Supreme Court upheld the original six month sentence and recently sustained the three month term he is serving. The decision means he will begin the longer sentence after his present term, likely keeping him in jail past Christmas. Downing Rites Set For 19 Year Old Mrs Downing
The body of Mrs Ruby Evans Downing arrived this morning at 147 Main street from Atlantic City and was taken to her parents home. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with burial in Oak Hill cemetery. Loyal Downing, her fifteen year old son, accompanied the body. Mrs Downing died Friday in an Atlantic City hospital after being injured in a Memorial Day automobile crash.
