Holton Kansas residents confront a shock as dogs uncover the buried body of Mrs WH Kleinsmire, found in a shallow trench near the home. Police say the husband WH Klensmire confessed to saying the wife died in Texas and then buried her after a visit with the children.
Kaokas City June 3. W H Klensmire arrested in Ranegs City on suspicion of murdering his wife near Helton Kaw. The body found May 19 shows skull crushed with a club. He told a confused story of dispute over land sale and claimed his wife killed herself, then he buried her to avoid disgrace. He was taken to Topeka for trial consideration.
Mes Whinley Featling’s condition in Washington on June 1 Mex remains very weak and gradually weakening. Doctors report little improvement while past illness in San Francisco is still referenced. Mrs McKinney shows vitality but her strength has declined, leaving her feeble with concern for a potential change in status.
Beaumont Tex June 8 The town of Jasper capital of Jasper county was entirely wiped out Sunday by fire. The latest news from physicians in attendance is not reassuring though there is hope for better things.
At a June 3 meeting of allied generals in Pekin the plan was set to transfer Pekin’s remaining admin duties to Chinese officials gradually through June. Count Von Waldersee left Pekin with staff as special trains carried troops to Taku. German baggage moved out and the Baluch regiment departed amid farewell ceremonies. US diplomat Rockhill cited indemnity settlement as enabling withdrawal. German force to be limited to one brigade.

Also notes a torpedo craft arrival, two anarchists in Madrid freed for lack of proof, ex-officer Neill under arrest in San Francisco, a string of local fires injuring a fire chief and property loss, a railroad accident near North East PA killing three, and widespread state and territorial reinforcement in a distant conflict.
Chicago audience of about 5,000 heard John Alexander Dowie claim to be Bijan the prophet re incarnated as Elijah and John the Baptist. He denounced opponents and urged theocracy under God, urging offerings to the storehouse of God as essential. A separate report notes a fatal trolley car train collision in McKeesport, Pa., injuring several.
James A. Herne, famed actor and playwright born February 1 1850 in Troy New York, died Sunday afternoon in New York City after eight weeks illness of acute bronchitis and pneumonia. He collapsed after a Chicago stop while in Sag Har bor, his own play. He died at home with Mrs Herne and three daughters present. Cremation planned. funeral date not yet set.
Twenty two American delegates from the New York Chamber of Commerce visited King Edward at Windsor on June third. The London Chamber of Commerce organized the visit, with Lor Brassey leading the British side. Morgan and Carnegie drew much attention, and the king welcomed the delegation as a sign of close Anglo American relations.
