Five divisions totalling about 125 000 National Guardsmen will be sent to France by the end of August in three increments. The first group sails July 1 and the last August 5, with mobilization preceding dispatch as transport becomes available. An officers training camp will be opened in August for the second increment of 500 000 men.
The United States issued a 100 million dollar treasury warrant at 3 percent to fund food, munitions, and supplies for France. Ambassador Jusserand received the document at the French embassy. Combined with an earlier loan, the total aid for war purposes reaches 200 million dollars since the war began.
