Courtney Errol Elliott, fifteen, was killed when he and four companions hopped a Monon train near Sheridan Monday night. Elliott fell beneath the wheels as the train passed the Cove, leaving his body barely recognizable. Funeral set for Thursday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Graham. Clarence F. Jamison salesman for Saxon Motor Car narrowly escaped death after a collision with a westbound interurban on the Terre Haute line at Mulberry. Jamison, driving Lafayette to Indianapolis in a Saxon, sped to beat the crossing as the interurban struck the car’s rear, wrecking wheels and throwing him clear with cuts and bruises. Delegation from New Ross toured Lebanon in twelve decorated autos to promote a horse show set for Saturday June 6. The Advance band of eight played at the southwest square corner and drew applause.
