Tragic drowning of Worley near Broad Ripple shocks town
Fernon Worley son of Mr and Mrs Worley of this city died Sunday afternoon after drowning during a White River outing near Broad Ripple. Emmett Fall Walter Ralston and other companions witnessed the incident. Police recovered the body and a coroner ruled no water in the lungs. The funeral will be private at Oak Hill cemetery with pallbearers among classmates and Purdue associates.

Brakes Fail On Hill. Auto Ditches On Flat Near Waveland
Four Lebanon youths occupied the Morrison car en route to Shades near Waveland. Brakes failed on a steep hill and the vehicle backed into a shallow ditch two miles from relief. All occupants escaped serious harm. Mr Morrison suffered a painful foot injury requiring two splints. The accident occurred about two o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Auto crash injures three in Indianapolis on Capitol avenue

Premier car fire destroys new six cylinder vehicle
A new six cylinder Premier owned by Mr. Faris of Danville Tennessee caught fire Sunday night on the Noblesville road near the Sicks home east of Lebanon after engine trouble en route from Indianapolis. The backfire ignited the gasoline tank, burning the car and spilling up to thirty gallons of fuel, making the roadway dangerously hot. The $3,500 car was wrecked. Mr. Faris telegraphed his father and a full inspection will determine if it can be repaired.
