Boy Hurt When Lumber Load Slips In Antioch
Mr. Kirkpatrick and his son were returning from Bellefield saw hills with about 1200 feet of green lumber on a wagon when a wheel axle broke causing the load to slip. The boy suffered a fractured left thigh and other injuries but is not believed fatal. A flour sack helped bear weight, an interurban car stopped nearby, and the boy received medical care before being kept at home to rest.
