Frankfort Ind July 21 An unmarried twenty one year old Elma Hughes is charged with murder in the first degree for allegedly killing her illegitimate baby found in a vault on the family home premises west of the Wiltis gro ten. Prosecutor Robison suspects complicity by the mother and her mother Mrs Hughes. The body was buried at the county poor farm after the discovery.
Tomorrow afternoon the Elka and South Side ball teams meet in a benefit game to raise funds for Miss Frances Skelton. A spectator collection will support the fund as a large crowd is expected. Lineups include Elks Arch Armstrong and Carl Davis, and South Side John Parr and Lee Guilion among others.
Frankfort Indiana July 21 The town of Bringhurst north of the city on the Vandalix railway suffered a $10,000 fire today destroying the store owned by Will Hinkle the Caldwell and Bridges dry goods and grocery establishment Dr I S Tedrick s office and M DeMars butcher shop Bringhurst has no fire protection
George Rhodius will take a vacation in Wisconsin during August with one guardian and a guardian accompanying him. Attorneys present included John W. Kern and M A Ryan for Mrs Rhodius and J W Clay William Benson and Henry ata for the guardian James M Berryhill. No provision for Mrs Ema Dare Rhodius. Judge Walker said Rhodius should try without Mrs Rhodius despite protests.
A large number of manna tents and chapters are preparing programs for the silver anniversary of the Maccabee order. The organization has made remarkable advances since its founding 25 years ago and now has a reserve fund of 7 million 80 thousand dollars in total credit.
A head end collision on the Elgin and Aurora electric railway four miles from Aurora left forty injured. The road superintendent reported no fatalities and that only one serious injury a broken leg, as Wheaton officers confirmed the figures.

In Frankfort's mayor court yesterday six men involved in the Saturday Bush's saloon brawl were fined $1 plus costs of $11 each. George, John Crutchfield, Allen Powell, and Peter Adair pled guilty and paid fines. Lee Crutchfield pleaded not guilty, was tried, found guilty, and fined the same amount.
A July 21 dispatch from Bad Nauheim Germany claimed Vice Admiral Rojestvensky died July 19 from heart trouble. The report is incorrect as another Russian named Rojestyensky died at Bad Nanhelia, not the admiral.
Poughkeepsie July 21 Harry K Thaw awaiting arguments on his sanity inquiry was moved to the main jail by Sheriff Chanier who said the jailers were overwhelmed by his attention and other duties were neglected.
Six masked men rode into Ada late at night and tried to force cashier Meyers to open the bank safe. Meyers escaped, alarmed the town, and the fugitives rode away on horses, pursued by bloodhounds but escaping.
Charles H Wasson known as Spink is appointed agent of the Northwestern railroad in Crawfordsville and assumes charge of the railway office today. The auditor arrived to settle affairs and hand over to the new management. Spink brings years of railroad experience and is popular with travelers, expected to boost Northwestern business locally.
Edward Thistlewaite sues in ten cases for collection of notes and foreclosure of mortgages filed in the Hamilton circuit court. Sheridan Natural Gas and Power Co is defendant in each case along with Atlantic Green Charles H. Lee William H. Dowson Carrie Newton Joseph W. Cropper Caroline Fristoe Ruth F. Owen Elizabeth A. Griffin and Caroline J. Lanham. The suits arise from lease of land for drilling gas wells and related gas sales.
B S Neal will present a resolution at the national convention of the Independence party urging equal voting rights for women. The resolution asks extending elective franchise to women nationwide on current male qualifications. The proposal reflects the National American Suffrage Association backing.
