A Stray Bullet Strikes Crawfordsville Visitor

Eighteenth Birthday Party For Miss Onah Pollard
Mr and Mrs Sherman Pollard of Harris Mechanicsburg entertained about forty young people on Miss Onah Pollard's eighteenth birthday. Guests from Lebanon traveled on the Northwestern by hay frame to the Pollard home. The yard and porches were decorated with Japanese lanterns. Refreshments followed and the Lebanon party took a hay rack ride back to the car. Miss Pollard received many presents including souvenir spoons and a jeweled pin.

In Indianapolis on July IL hog market reversed recent weakness with gains of 5 to 10 cents, some 20 cents, as receipts were lighter and Chicago arrivals declined. Chicago closed 5 to 10 cents higher on 15,000 hogs. Heatweight stock and pigs advanced up to 10 cents, best heavies at 6.80, most hogs 6.45 to 6.75, bulk 6.50 to 6.70. cattle demand for butcher stock and fat heifers remained strong with prices up to 10 cents.
