Miniature Twister Hits Danville Area In July Storm
A small tornado visited Danville Indiana yesterday afternoon with heavy rain and hall start tearing through the town. It damaged a house under construction belonging to William Wheeler pinning timbers to kindling while Vern Nichols a carpenter on site was carried sixty feet by the wind. The storm blew down much corn and damaged fruit trees, with several telephone lines knocked out. Only the Wheeler house was reported as damaged.
