Trains Crash Head-On Kills Five At Knobmaster
Missouri Pacific passenger trains Nos 4 and 12 collided head on near Knobmaster Missouri, killing at least five and injuring six to eight. A relief train with doctors and nurses was dispatched from Sedalia to the scene. In Texas a Texas and Pacific train derailed after washing out near Borasho 130 miles east of El Paso. fatalities and missing engineers and passengers are reported as undertakers and a relief train respond.

He rode in a hack and invited others to drink. he was arrested at police headquarters and reported his gold watch stolen. Fraud Order 15 Against HG Webster Shuts Agency Mail Service
Postmaster General Meyer signed four fraud orders blocking Webster Detective Agency and H C Webster of Indianapolis from using the mails. Investigators say Webster advertised for “shrewd reliable men” to act under orders with no experience required and offered pay of four to five dollars daily after joining the “Detective World.” Applicants sent two dollars, were enrolled, given a badge and began paying seventeen fifty for “special instruction,” with no experience necessary. Webster claimed two thousand six hundred dollars came in during 1967 from about 2,600 persons and said about 1,500 members worked. Indianapolis mail traffic reports about two hundred letters daily.
