The traction firm seeks to block bus certificates under the ninety day clause of the new state bus law arguing traction firms would be driven out of business. The demurrer contends the complaint fails to state facts for action and argues bus service is not similar to traction transportation.

Woman Whisky Vendor Held for Dry Law Breach
Ruth Davis, 27, alleged society bootlegger, turned over to federal authorities in Indianapolis to face national dry law charges. Three trunks held seventy five quarts of whisky worth 25 dollars each were seized from her apartment after a shipment from New Orleans. Mrs Mary Margaret Boyd 77 died Tuesday at 403 North Jameson street after a long illness linked to diseases since December 1918. LaPorte Ind July 1 Mrs Anna Skibo of Michigan City confessed the slaying of her husband and was indicted by the LaPorte county grand jury on first degree murder.
