Bandit robs Western Oil station for 38 dollars
A masked bandit robbed the Western Oil and Refining service station at Main and East streets last night about 8:30. He forced station manager Lowell Higgins to surrender 38 dollars from the register and forced him into the lavatory while police searched for the suspect. The thief fled in a nearby car, taking no safe or silver coins, leaving a vague description: a man in a dark gray overcoat, brown hat and brown shoes.
