Mrs. Fannie W. Van Arsdale died at 3 p m at her Clinton township home after an eight year carcinoma illness lasting about a year. Born February 25, 1863 in Shelby County Kentucky she married Gilford E. Van Arsdale April 5 1888 and resided in Boone county Indiana. Survived by husband five daughters one son eighteen grandchildren two great grandchildren a half sister and many relatives. Funeral at Central Christian church Friday at two with Rev John M Horne officiating burial at Oak Hill.

Marion Smith, 22, was jailed after a detective seized $187.25 on him and $108 hidden on his coat. he admitted involvement in the South Marion and Upland bank raids and planned two more robberies.
