Tragic Death of Charles Rider Found Beside Big Four Tracks
The badly mutilated body of 44 year old Charles Benjamin Rider was found on the south track near Elm and Evans streets by two Lebanon newsboys about 5 pm Friday. Investigators believe he fell from a southbound No. 18 train as he walked toward home. no impact marks on the pilot. Rider, native of Clinton County, lived in Lebanon area most of his life, survived by two brothers, and had been living in a railroad coach near the Indestructible Wheel Works. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday at 10 am at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Adam J. Schwing officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill.
