Earl Campbell graduate manager of athletics at Washington conducted a month long survey of coaches and Phelan may visit Seattle next week to study the situation. He is very interested in Washington’s proposition.

Mrs Martha Elvina Crain 72 years old died Friday evening at 5 40 at her home one mile west of Lebanon after a two week battle with complications. Born in Montgomery county to James Bratton she married Henry Crain October 2 1879 at New Ross. Surviving are her husband a son Ernest G Crain of Lebanon three grandchildren Noble Morris and Rosebud Kushner and three great grandchildren plus four brothers and two sisters.
