Charles Stewart age 99 a certified public accountant died this morning at his home in Vici after a heart attack. Native of Boone County, son of William and Lila Stewart, he was affiliated with the Public Service Commission and held positions at the Gish Carmichael Company for twenty years. He remained with the firm two years after retirement.
Allied forces led by Lt Gen George S Patton stormed across the Saar front near Saarbrucken and Saarlautern advancing four to seven miles on a wide 50 mile front.
