Farmers Arrested Over Hog Load and Blanket Theft
Arthur Caldwell and Claude Groover, both farmers from Liston Indiana, drove to Indianapolis with hogs and disposed of them. John Campbell of Clermont tracked the pair to Brownsburg, aided by Deputy Marshal Parker, and had them returned to Indianapolis. Caldwell and Groover admitted taking blankets found on their wagon and paid $200 bond for petit larceny charges filed by local bicycle patrol.

Frankfort Council Approves Indiana Lighting Gas Franchise
After weeks of debate the Frankfort council approved a twenty five year gas franchise for Indiana Lighting Company. The deal requires a new plant, bonds of 10000 and 500, gas price limits, meter rental for low usage, a city gas inspector, and a process for future price fixing every five to ten years with a public notice. Mr Murdock supported the terms though absent at the final vote, and council praise followed.

Winnie Huffman Dies by Suicide at Crawfordsville
The Journal reports sixteen year old Winnie Huffman, a local high school student and daughter of Mr and Mrs Ora Huffman of 209 East College, committed death by her own action using carbolic acid at Crawfordsville on Saturday. Her body was brought here for burial at Oak Hill. The cause of death is not known.
