OH Gold, receiver for Peoria Water Co, serves notice to Mayor Allen that he will seek court leave to shut off free water and hydrant service in Peoria if city refuses to pay for water and services. Allen vows to resist and keep the plant running if needed. Reports cover paralysis, gambling raids, suicides, and local business mentions amid a broad 19th century dispatch.
A crowded day at the McKinley residence in Canton featured visitors from Michigan Ohio California Delaware and beyond as General Horace Porter Senator Lodge and others joined major McKinley for meals and social calls.
