Whitestown resident James Carney dies of typhoid
James Carney, prominent Whitestown resident, died at Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis after five weeks illness. Death attributed to typhoid and complications. Barn Destroyed on Sallee Farm Near Lebanon
A fire last evening destroyed the barn on Alvin Sallee's farm four miles east of Lebanon on the Noblesville road. Firemen saved the residence but the barn and its contents including hay baled straw and tools were consumed. Origin of the fire unknown. insurance of 575 on the barn and 100 on the site, all contents fully insured.

Dinner Pail Theft Leads To Arrest
W A Breedlove of Lebanon, a brick mason at United Brethren church in Frankfort, had his dinner bucket stolen from his car. Three youths were seen leaving the machine with a bucket. Detective McCullough tracked and arrested them. Buckets returned. they were allowed to leave the city after a police escort. Suspects named John Knowl, William Dalan, and Joseph Tracey, all claiming Columbus, D. as home.
